“First of all, social media quite frankly is the toilet of the Internet and what it has done to pop culture is abysmal.” - Lady Gaga

What are your experiences of social media? Do you ever regret being or having been part of it or have you avoided it completely? Or couldn't you live without it? Do you have a choice not to be in social media?

Can we even imagine world now without it? There is no return to the old.

Who is this 'Lady Gaga'? Some kind of prophet of the times?

Someone in denial, who'll prove to be a home-wrecker if you believe what's said in the toilet.

Social media is a bunch of tricks making bucks from clicks.

Don't get me wrong, it's the death knell of society too, but it's such a cheap flogging of your soul in the process.

Sell your kids to the state (school), sell your parents to the state (homes). Sell yourself to the state (work).

It's a jolly good way to socialize and have fun.

In my childhood the nosy neighbours could only see the limited view from the window hiding behind their curtains and they had to actually go somewhere to spread the "news"; now those stalkers can see much more from one spot without having to move at all, but the thing is that everyone else already knows everyone else's business and the stalkers get stalked and tracked more efficiently themselves.

          That was a long sentence.
