  • A Stich In Time

Before you leave this thread just take a minute to give the story a try. I think it is my best work.

ATTENTION: The amazing program you are about to be present with was taped in front of a live crowed of Star Wars nerds. No wookies were harmed in the making of this film!

WARNING: This story is protected by copyright and If I catch someone using it in a manner I feel is unlawful I will have you prosecuted faster than it took for yo mamma to smack you in the mouth for talking back to her.

This is a remake but its head and shoulders better than the original. This story evolved from the Stargate one but the name is different. Yes I did rip off the name of the story from one of my old friends. Another lovely and sweet forumer named Emily. I seriously think she wouldn't mind as it fits the story perfectly and used to love my stories. I spent a long time revising the first chapter of Stargate/Stitch in time. I actually spent at least a year continuing the story and I have 70 something pages of materiel

One of my series was voted the best on the forum but I think Rigs should have won. His series called the the MC was amazing and it featured the fictional life of forum members. I love to write stuff and Stargate is my fave thing I've ever done. I'm addicted to writing it and its so much fun. Riggs inspired me to start writing stories and created the format of a cross between a novel and a movie script. I have to cut this into two posts.

    :A Stitch in Time:

    Chapter 1
    Welcome to my Universe

My name is Spike St-Cloud. My story is a complicated one so you better pay attention. I've lived two lives in two different periods of time. I have experienced death twice as well. Each time I died I would blink into a new timeline. I was born in 1983 but a half an hour ago I was in the year 1962. I had a vision after I died for the first time in the year 2017. I'll touch on that later. After I had the vision I awoke inside of a U.S. army recruiting felicity. The year was now 1948. I never wanted to join the military. To many soldiers in history have died fighting someone elses wars. Even if they survive, the chances are they would never be the same again. However... I have my reasons for joining now. I spent the next seven years learning everything I could about whatever I could. Everything from weapons training to mechanics and engineering. As the saying goes, I know a lot about a little and a little about a lot. I saw and did a lot of things that still haunt me to this day but there was a path laid out for me and I needed to follow it.

The U.S. had just started to become involved with Vietnam in 1955. I was sent out there a year later. I spent three years in those jungles before I joined a special faction of the army in 1959. We were designated Unit-X. Each member of the unit had certain specialties. Mine was solo infiltration. I'm a master at sneaking into compounds and enemy strongholds without aid or support. That's what I was doing in Russia in 1962. I was infiltrating a Russian nuclear weapons felicity. Like my vision we will come back to that later.

Upon my second death I woke up trapped inside of a wooden crate. The only thing that I could think was that I had been buried underground. I try to push open the crate with my feet. Eventually the lid popped open. I climbed out of the crate and stumbled around. I was very disoriented and it was hard to focus my eyes. I heard shouts from behind me. It sounded like they were speaking another language that I've never heard and I can speak quite a few. I turn to see two men standing close to me. I see them pull strange guns from their belts and my instincts took over. I lunged toward the closest man just before his sights were set on me. I grabbed his gun before tossing him on his back using a Judo technique. The second man aimed at me and fired a shot. I ducked and rolled to my left before jumping up and kicking his gun out of his hand. I smashed my knee into his stomach before grabbing him by the shirt and backing him up against the wall. I punched him in the face before I clasped my hands together around the back of his neck. I then pulled down on his neck and lifted up my knee, smashing it into his face. The blow knocked him out cold. The first guy grabbed me from behind. I threw my head backwards into his nose and he let go. I turn around and hit him flush on his chin with a right cross and he fell down unconscious.

I looked around and the area is clear of any other people. Next to me is a door with two windows on each side. I peer through them and it appeared to be some kind of cafeteria or mess hall. I realize I am standing in a corridor that branches off in three different directions. I also notice that I'm not wearing the cloths I died in and my utility belt containing mission items and my side arm were missing. I check my black cargo pants for other items but they are empty. My next action was to find out where I am and how I can escape. When I died in 1962 I was wearing a Russian uniform but I am not now. I had on a skin tight black long sleeve shirt of which I'm pretty sure was mine from my second life and the black cargo pants with boots were definitely mine from my first life. I had no time to dwell on this. There were three directions that I can go. I rolled up my sleeves before I grabbed one of the men's guns, I glanced in every direction before taking the path to my right. I followed the long corridor before reaching a large dome shaped room. It had no walls, just clear windows. What I saw paralyzed me. I'm traveling through outer space. Next thing I knew, I could see a man's reflection on the glass. He is holding a weapon and fired what looked like a plasma beam.

I have just woken up inside of a pure white room. I have no wounds from the plasma beam. I look around and there is a table and two chairs mounted to the floor. I get the feeling I am in an interrogation room. The ship is shaking and I can hear loud thuds. It would appear like I am traveling on some kind of space ship. It also seems like the ship is under attack. After a few moments the thuds stop and the ship is no longer shaking. I can't believe I'm traveling on a space ship. About twenty minutes passes and three men enter the room. Two of the are dressed in light tactical gear and had weird looking riffles. The other man had a side arm that looked like the pistols the other crew members used. That man sits down in one of the chairs. He looks at me and motions for me to sit as well. I walk to the chair and sit across from him.

    Marks: I am August Marks.

    Spike: Who are you guys?

Marks: This is the part where you tell me who YOU are and why you are here.

Spike: My name is Spike St-Cloud.

Marks: How did you get inside that create? The only things that should have been in there were ration bars. That crate was inspected before it was brought on bored

Spike: Look, this is going to sound really, really weird...

    Marks: I'm listening...

Spike: A half hour ago I was on Earth and now I'm here. I'm jumping through time and I don't know how...

Marks: That's the best story you can come up with? Earth is half way across the universe. How did you get here? Earth doesn't even posses the capability of star travel anymore. Their society collapsed three hundred years ago.

    Spike: Three hundred years ago?!

Marks: Tell me what you are doing here!

    Spike: Alright... look...

I now begin to tell him one of the craziest parts of my story. I tell him about an entity that came to me after I died for the first time. The last thing I remember of that life, I was trying to protect my wife and son from a horde of raiders. The world had collapsed as Marks mentioned earlier. I bore witness to it. My family and I lived in nothing but chaos. I refused to watch them die so I fought and clawed tooth and nail to keep them safe. I would fight until I died and that's exactly what I did. When I did eventually die I appeared inside of a red and black chamber before I was in the recruiting facility. I almost died again from the shock of it all. I've seen some crazy stuff before but this beats everything. There was a glowing entity that began to materialize. It appeared as a blue and gold serpent. It looked like a cross between a snake and a dragon. It slithered through the air until it was face to face with me.

    Spike: Wh-- Am I dead?!

Serpent: Your life as you know it has ended but you are one of the Chosen.

    Spike: Chosen?!

Serpent: You still have work to do in the multiverses.

Spike: What the * censored * does that even mean?!

Serpent: In time... All will become clear.

Spike: Tell me who you are!

Serpent: Follow your path and all wishful secrets will be revealed.

Just like that it was all gone. I was now standing in front of the desk at the recruiting facility. Behind the desk is a women signing paperwork. She called me by my name and handed me some information on where I should report. I assumed this was the path I was supposed to follow. I reported to a Major John Jenkins. That's when my normal, boring life changed forever. Marks now continues his interrogation.

Marks: You appear on this ship a half an hour before we are attacked. Your combat skills are very impressive. Are you a spy?

Spike: I told you I was in the army... I also was a Mixed Martial Artist in my first life.

    Marks: What does that mean?

Spike: I trained in all forms of martial arts on Earth. I was a prize fighter and a coach to the youth.

Marks: What were you doing in that create?

Spike: I don't know, man... I just woke up there. I thought I was buried underground.

Marks: I'm about to lose my patience. You better tell me what the *censored * you are doing here in the next thirty seconds.

Spike: That's my story, man... I don't have anything else to say...

Marks instructs the two men to take me to the airlock. I assume he plans to toss me into the vacuum of space. I've seen enough sci-fi movies in my life to know how that works out... I'm not shackled so I stand up and ready myself for a fight as another man storms into the room. I notice he is the man that shot me. He looks at Marks with disapproval.

Captain Koro: What do you think you are doing?

Marks: It's too dangerous having him on this ship. Have you forgotten how important our cargo is?

Captain Koro: Have you forgotten who is in charge? I understand you are a rebel loyalist but you and your men are sworn to obey my commands. You don't get to make decisions like this.

    Marks:Yes sir...

The man looks at me and introduces himself.

Captain Koro: I am William Koro, the captain of this ship. You are going to answer my questions and you will be truthful or I assure you I will know.

I go through my whole story all over again. When I'm finished the captain still has questions for me.

Captain Koro: I have one last question for you... Are you a threat to my ship?

Spike: No, sir... I'm just lost...

    The captain looks at Marks.

Captain Koro: He appears to be telling the truth.

I find out later that the captain has an uncanny ability to read faces. There are countless races of beings in the universe. The one thing that seems to be the same with all humanoid races are the expressions and emotions on their faces. He can almost always tell when people are lying or telling the truth.

Marks: You have been wrong in the past.

    Captain Koro: Yes, I have.

Stargate: He did appear to be telling the truth but time travel is universally considered to be impossible.

Spike: Where is that voice coming from?

Captain Koro: He could be mentally ill. He might believe he is a time traveler so there would be no signs of deception. We'll have Dr. Hammund evaluate him.

Spike: Dude I'm sitting right here! I'm not mentally ill and where is that voice coming from?

Captain Koro: That's Stargate. She is the ships A.I.

    Spike: Your ship talks?!

Captain Koro: Stargate is a very advanced Artificial Intelligence lifeform. She thinks and feels like any sentient being and has complete control over all of her systems.

    Spike: That is so cool...

The captain pauses for a moment.

Captain Koro: Stargate, scan the subjects physiology

Stargate: Scan complete. All indications say he is a human male. I must admit this is strange... My scans tell me his cloths and shoes are over three hundred years old but they are in pristine condition.

The Captain looks at Marks again.

    Captain Koro: Explain that.

Marks: He could be a Velear.

Captain Koro: Velear's can't fake a subatomic scan. I assume you did one of those, Stargate?

    Stargate: Yes, captain.

    Spike: Whats a Velear?

Marks: You think he is a time traveler, William?! We found him busting out of a crate. By his own admission he is a highly skilled soldier and an expert at sneaking into places. This is highly coincidental.

Captain Koro: We found nothing on him. Not a single weapon or item. That's not very smart if you think you are going to encounter resistance. Don't you think he would at least have a knife? I don't know what he is but I'm not convinced he is a threat so we're not chucking him out of the airlock! Don't ever presume you can make a decision like that again.

    Marks: Yes sir...

Spike: Please... Take me back to Earth. That's all I want. Then you don't have to worry about me anymore.

Captain Koro: Earth isn't exactly a great planet to visit... It's a planet rich with the worst kind of people.

Spike: I need to find out if Utopia survived, if it ever existed at all, I need to find out if my family made it there.

Captain Koro: I'm sorry... but we cannot do that. Earth is on the other side of the universe. It would take us a decade to get there.

Spike: So... what happens to me?

Captain Koro: I believe that you believe your story but I haven't decided yet if you are a threat or not. We are taking you to the brig.

Marks and the two guards lead me down a corridor until we reach a sliding door. The door is labeled. “Transporter Shaft”. The doors open and a cylinder shaped room was revealed. There was a touch screen control panel that one of the guards used to set our destination. The doors closed and about five seconds later they open again. We are now on a different level of the ship. They lead me down a different corridor to a room labeled 'Brig'. The room has five holding cells, each contain a bed and toilet. They lead me to the closest cell where they proceed to lock me in.

After six hours of sitting here, the boredom is unbearable. I begin to strike up a conversation with the guards. Attempted to, I should say. They sit silently playing cards. Finally one guard becomes agitated and walks over to the cell. He slams his gun against the cage and tells me to shut my mouth before my jaw ends up on the floor. Just as soon as he walks back to the table, Marks walks through the brig door and tells me the captain wants to have a word. He gives me an evil eye as he sizes me up through the bars. The guards then open up the gate. They place restraints on my wrists and escort me to the captains quarters. The captain instructs me to wait for a moment. He is holding a device that resembles a tablet like we had on Earth. He finishes his final touches with his fingers before tossing the tablet on his desk.

    Captain Koro: Sit down Spike.

Spike: Don't mind if I do. It looks much more comfortable than the bed in my cell. What did you want to see me about?

Captain Koro: You are puzzling. Apparently you are a human. Humans come from Earth and Earth no longer has the capability of space exploration. How the hell did you get so far out in the universe?

Spike: I was told that I had a path to follow. It's lead me here for whatever reason.

Captain Koro: Start again from the very beginning.

Spike: Alright... I was born on Earth in the year 1983. I lived a normal life with my family. I taught Mixed Martial Arts at a gym in Colby, Kansas and I competed sometimes. I had a pro record of 12-3 before the world ended. My wife Phoenix and I were married in 2005. We had a baby boy in 2007. His name was Max. When society collapsed in the year 2017, we were forced to flee our home and run deep into the woods to avoid the chaos of the riots and raiding. One day we came across a shack with a ham radio and a generator. There was a message playing on loop.

Come to Utopia. We can provide shelter and security. We are located in the North West of Denver, Colorado. Beware, our defenses are advanced. If you are hostile, deadly force will be used.”

Spike: Denver was two hundred and thirty miles away from us. My wife and I decided we should try to make the trek. We could be there in a week if we really bust our butts.
Route 70 was a highway that led directly to Denver. It's a gamble but we decide to take it. The highways by now had become cluttered with abandoned vehicles. They actually aided us during the travel. They provided excellent cover and looters have ransacked most of the vehicles already so there wasn't much reason for anyone to be on the highway.

We did run into some folks on the way. Two of them were brothers on their way to their parents house a few days away. We ended up traveling together for a time. We encountered another man who didn't seem like a bad guy but he was shaky and panicky. He was also wielding a .45 revolver. He attempted to rob us and as much as I hated it I stabbed him to death. I kept the gun, of course.

Marks knocks on the captains open door. He tells him that they have a situation that requires his attention. The captain bids me farewell and the guards take me back to my cell. I lay down on the two inch thick mattress and begin to drift off. Memories begin to spark in my mind. I see my wife in her beautiful wedding dress. I see Max come into the world and grow. I see our house by the lake and the long dock going out over it. Then I see the explosions and the riots. I need to get back home. I need to find out what happened to them. I wake up screaming and sweating. I sit up and put my head in my hands. The guard in the room watches me through the cell.

    Guard: You ok there?

Spike: Yea... When you live more than one life you tend to acquire some demons.

    Guard: You want some water?

    Spike: Is it poisoned?

    Guard: It's clean, I promise.

    Spike: Then I'll take it.

The guard walks to a small table and picks up a cup and pitcher. He pours the water into the cup and then brings it to me.

Spike: You already know who I am. What's your name?

    Guard: Helo.

Spike: You sure this isn't a trick, Helo? Other than the captain, you are the only one that has been halfway decent to me.

Helo: You just woke up screaming. I just figured you could use a glass of water. It's not like I gave you the key card to the cell.

    Spike: Will you?

    Helo: No...

Spike: I'm kidding anyway. Apparently I don't have anywhere to go...

Helo: So you are a time traveler, huh?

Spike: Word gets around fast around here.

Helo: People talk. So for real, you believe you are a time traveler?

    Spike: Kinda hard not to...

A woman walks through the door and eyes me up and not in the good way.

    Helo: Hey Alora.

Alora: Hey Helo. Just need a minute with the prisoner.

Spike: And who would you be?

Alora: I'm the pilot of this ship. My name is Alora.

Spike: I feel special. First the captain wants to see me and now the pilot. Why does a spaceship with an AI need a pilot?

Alora: Her systems sometimes require human personnel to man the controls. Certain situations require manual commands as its easier and quicker to decide a course of action intermediately as appose to relaying multiple verbal commands to Stargate. You're creating quite a buzz around here. A human that appeared out of nowhere claiming to be a time traveler...That's very interesting.

Spike: Look, What do you want with me, lady?

Alora: I was just curious. Like I said, you created quite a buzz.

    Spike: So I'm famous?

Alora: Yea... that's not always a good thing.

Spike: You know.... with all the * censored * going on I never asked why you guys look so human yourselves.

Alora: My race were the first inhabitants of Earth.

    Spike: Huh?

Alora: We are Latians. We evolved on your planet, eventually creating great cities with high technology. Some left for the stars after hundreds of thousands of years but some also remained. All of the great cities were built near the planets coastlines. At that time they were best and most fertile lands. The capital of the Lantian people was called Atlantis. It was the mecca of our society.

Spike: Get the * censored * out of here... Atlantis was real?!

Alora: Um...Yea....I think I just said that. It went down when cosmic impacts caused the ice sheets to rapidly melt. Sea levels rose four hundred feet almost instantly. Most of our society...our history...and any trace of it were lost in one day... The few survivors living in small outposts settled among the primitive humans who were slower to evolve then us. They began to teach and interbreed. Our genetic markers are slightly different than yours but they are virtually identical. For example our typical life span is a hundred and seventy years.

Spike: That is amazing. Earth has multiple myths about a city called Atlantis that was destroyed by a great flood and fire.

Alora: Its good to know that records of that great civilization living on in history in some way.

Spike: I'm surprised you speak modern English.

Alora: I don't speak English. The nano-bots we injected into your body allow you to communicate with any race in existence.

Spike: What?! What the * censored * did you do to me?!

Alora: Relax... That is their sole purpose.

Spike: How do I know that?

    Alora: Well... you don't.

She smiles as if she gained some kind of victory before she gets up from her chair and walks out the door. Helo is silently laughing.

    Helo: She likes you.

    Helo sarcastically smiles.

Spike: Yea, well I'm not interested.

Helo: You don't have to worry about that. Your not her...type.

    Spike: Oh... Got ya.

Helo: Seriously, tell me some stuff about being a time traveler.

Spike: Are you screwing with me, Helo?

Helo: No... Not exactly... Sure you have a wild story but there is some weird stuff going on here whether that's good or bad. Your cloths are three hundred years old. That's a little strange. I just wanna know a little about your beliefs. What else are we going to do? I'm stuck here for another few hours.

I begin to talk back and forth with Helo. We talk for a few hours before another guard relives him. Two days pass and I haven't had any visitors. At least I had Helo to keep me company sometimes. I'm sleeping and dreaming about the destruction of my home yet again. Then she comes to me... Phoenix.

Phoenix: You have to find me.

    Spike: Phoenix?!

Phoenix: You have to find me, Spike.

Spike: How? Baby, tell me how?

Phoenix: Follow your path and all wishful secrets will be known.

I wake up screaming and sweating again. Helo rushes to get me some water and a wet rag. That wasn't the first time my wife has come to me. In 1962 I was part of one of the most important, if not the most operations in Earth history. It was code named Operation Alice. The special operations unit I was a part of was a black ops unit designated Unit-X as I mentioned before. Everything we did was completely off the books. We did't exist. The unit commander was General Wilson Drake. They called him the Firestarter because of how many Nazi's he burnt down with a makeshift flame thrower during his escape from a concentration camp. Needless to say, he was a very hardened man. He was also my mentor.

    Gnr. Drake: SPIKE!

    Spike: What!?

Gnr. Drake: Is that anyway to talk to your C.O.?

Spike: *Clears throat * What is it sir...?

Gnr. Drake: Get your stuff on and come with me.

    Spike: Whats going on?

Gnr. Darke: I have no * censored * clue but apparently it's is really important.

    Spike: Explain...

Gnr. Drake: Just get your * censored *on. I'll be outside.

I put on my boots and gathered my things. I exited my quarters and general Drake walked me to the meeting room inside of our base. There were four other people that I've never met before already in the room. Two were dressed in suit's and ties but the other two had military uniforms on.

Gnr. Drake: Spike, this is Mr. Wallace, Mr. Morrison, General Thompson, and General Brownstone

Spike: May I ask what's going on here?

Mr. Morison: Five days ago, a U-2 spy plane left Alaska on a reconnaissance mission close to the north pole. The pilot was using celestial navigation but became blinded by the Northern Lights. He veered way off course and ended up in Russian airspace. Fearing that the plane could be a nuclear equipped bomber, the Russians dispatched MiG's to intercept and destroy the plane. The U-2 made it out of Russian airspace before the MiG's could reach it. The Russians broke off and never crossed into our airspace.

Gnr. Brownstone: That same day there was a Soviet sub lurking close to our blockade line around Cuba. The American destroyer USS Beale began dropping non-lethal depth charges trying to force the sub to surface. The sub eventually surfaced and left.

Gnr. Thompson: This is the closest we have come to nuclear war with the Russians. The Soviets had every intention of destroying that U-2 and that sub had a nuclear tipped torpedo. The captain was ready to fire it too.

Spike: How do you know all that?

Mr. Wallace: The President has been directly talking with Russian leader Nikita Khrushchev.

Gnr. Drake: Direct contact? This situation must be serious.

Mr. Wallace: Yes, that is how we know their plans to shoot down the plane and that the sub had a nuclear torpedo.

Spike: You said the captain of the sub was ready to use it. Why didn't he?

Mr. Wallace: Their was a protocol set into place. The captain and the second officer had to both agree to use the nuke. The second officer thought it best to surface and request orders from Moscow.

Gnr. Brownstone: You have to understand. With these incidents and the crisis in Cuba the tensions between the Russians and us is at its highest. The time Doomsday Clock has reached 2 minutes. The Russians went on high alert before demanding President Kennedy explain why these incidents occurred. President Kennedy and his staff rushed to find out what happened. When they did the President called Khrushchev. The Russians eventually stood down from high alert. The situation seemed to deescalate and talks had actually begun regarding the Russians agreeing to pull out of Cuba if certain demands are met.

    Spike: That's good, right?

Mr. Morrison: A few hours ago the President received another call from Khrushchev directly. There is a nuclear weapons facility located on Anzhelika island. The commander of the felicity is Nikoli Emelianenko. He believes that the U.S. is planing a real attack on the Soviet Union from all fronts. With the incident regarding the sub and the U-2 he was able to convince enough of his men to go against orders from Moscow. He also has the ear of many high ranking military leaders. He is preparing to launch every nuke on the facility at strategic targets in America.

Gnr. Brownstone: Truth is we never had no such plans to initiate nuclear war. We are of course preparing for all possibilities now

    Spike: Armageddon...

Gnr. Thompson: Yes... The Doomsday Clock has been adjusted. We are now two minutes to midnight.

Spike: Jesus...If Emelieniko launches those nukes then the U.S. will target the Soviet Union with everything we have. Khrushchev knows this and is prepared to retaliate if we launch.

Gnr. Drake: How the * censored * did that guy become a commander of a nuclear felicity?!

Gnr. Thompson: He is a distinguished officer. There was never any indication that he had radical ideas. Most of his men and scientist followed him. The rest died.

Mr. Morrison: The U.S and the Soviet Union have been trying hard to find an answer to this new crisis. We are one step away from nuclear winter. The only reason he hasn't launched yet is because Khrushchev is trying to buy time negotiating with him. Khrushchev is having him believe that he agrees he has no choices but to help at this point. Khrushchev is talking back and forth about legitimate plans of attack on the U.S. He is helping him strategy preparing for the worst.

    Spike: Well that's fantastic.

Mr. Morrison: He is still trying to buy us enough time to complete this mission. He believes it is the best way of preventing a war.

Spike: So what's the play here? You want me to sabotage the felicity?

Mr. Morrison: Essentially, yes. We have been working in conjunction with the Soviet Union on this. They have given us the plans for the felicity so you won't be going in blind. If this mission succeeds then Russian GRU soldiers will be standing by to storm the felicity and take it over

Spike: What about your operative inside? Can I expect support?

Mr. Morrison: If all goes as planed you won't be seeing the Russian until it's time to leave the island. He will be preparing an escape for the both of you. If by chance you should encounter him, he will have a red banana tied around is left wrist.

Spike: How are we getting out?

Gnr. Brownstone: The operative will have a boat ready for the both of you. You will then head to a set of coordinates that are to be determined. A Russian sub will meet you both there and take you too a safe location for debriefing.

Spike: So how am I getting on the island?

Gnr. Brownstone: Khrushchev made arrangements for us to bring an American cargo plane into Soviet airspace. We will be escorted by MiG's too fool Soviet radar systems. We will get you as close to island as we can and you will dive into the water and use fins to swim to the island. We need you to grab whatever personal items you think you will need now. We will be departing as soon as you are done. We have a long flight so that's where you will go over all the lintel and formulate your best plan for successfully completing the mission. See you on the plane, son.

The four men clear the room and now it's just me and general Drake. I look at him as he begins to speak.

Gnr. Drake: This is a dangerous one.

    Spike: No more than usual.

Gnr. Drake: I have faith in you, you know that. But you still need to be careful. There is is literally no room for error on this one.

Spike: I know whats a stake here.

Gnr. Drake: I wasn't just talking about that. When I said you needed to be careful I meant you need to keep yourself alive. I'm worried more about the Russian operative.

Spike: I'll find a way off the island either way.

    Gnr. Drake: You better.

I go to my quarters and take my .45 1911 model handgun out of my drawer. I take off the safety before ejecting the magazine to see that it's a full eight round clip. I slap the clip back in and chamber a round. I then eject the magazine again before I pull a .45 round out of a box of ammunition. I put the bullet into the magazine and slap it into the pistol before putting the safety back on. I take a noise suppressor and attach it to the gun. The last thing I grab is my knife which is still in it's sheath I carry the knife in my hand as I head for the cargo plane. I enter the plane and general Drake and the rest of the operational leaders are waiting for me. We all take a seat and the plane takes off. Once we are in the air we are free to move around. We discused every detail of the plan on the plane and I went over the schematics for the felicity.

The pilot informs us that we have entered Russian air space and there was no indication of Russian air traffic. Now it's time to put on my gear. Operational personnel always bring items they feel operatives require. I already have a sidearm and a Knife so I don't need theirs. They provide me with dark cloths and a belt with a hostler as well as few pouches attached to the sides and back of the belt. There is also a very large waterproof sack to carry my cloths and mission items in until I reach the island. I changed into the diving suit they have provided me. We got closer to the drop point and I put on the flippers and approached the ramp. Everyone wishes me good luck as the ramp opens. I walk to the edge and jump off the plane. When I hit the water I sunk in pretty deep. I swam to the surface and then made my way toward the island. I arrived at the island and crawled onto it. I scan the area with my eyes for a few moments before I take my equipment out of the bag. I change into my cloths and put on my tactical belt. Then I put on my boots and begin to walk toward the east gate of the felicity.

The gate is open slightly but not enough to tell unless you were next to it. This was done by the Russian operative who I assume is now planing our escape. I sneak through the gate and then lock it behind me. The first rule of infiltrating any facility alone is to find a disguise if you can. Army's from any country wear similar clothes and gear. If you can get your hold on an enemies uniform and weapons it makes it much easier to blend in. I memorized the specs for that place but I had a basic map with me just in case. I cautiously made my way into the felicity. I encountered a lone soldier. I was able to get behind him and snap his neck. I removed his clothes and put them on including his belt with a Makarov pistol and knife on them. I hid my personal .45 and my knife under the uniform before I popped open a large vent in the floor. I manage to shove the soldiers body into the shaft before I closed it. I started to head toward the silo control room.

So far I was able to creep around without attracting attention. I make it all the way to the silo control room. There where two guards standing by the doors. I speak fluent Russian and can fake the accent but I have no cover for justifying why I need to go in the control room. I decided the best way to proceed is to take out the soldiers and clear the control room. I walk right up to the soldiers. One looks at me with suspicion.

    Soldier 1: Who you?

Spike: Good evening Comrades! I just wanted to tell you the first rounds on me when this is over. Nostrovia!

I quickly pulled my silenced .45 out of my uniform and shot both men in the head. They didn't have time to react. When they hit the ground, I opened the control room door. Four men stood in the room, two soldiers and two scientists. I shot both soldiers and knocked out the scientists before I drug the bodies of the soldiers that were outside the door into the room. I closed the door and began to pull up the fail safe program. It's my luck that the door open and I was then shot twice in the back, once in the shoulder which went straight through and missed any bones but the other hit me near my side and I felt my rib shatter. That bullet was still inside. I turned quickly and shot the soldier dead. I fell to the floor beside the silo's main control console. I tried to pull myself up but I collapsed again. Everything became blurry and I felt the life slipping away from me. I tried to pull myself up to enter the code but I again fell. I was about to die... It didn't seem like it then but part of me just wanted go. I hoped I could see Phoenix again. Then... She comes to me...

Phoenix: Find me Spike... You have to find me.

Spike: I'm coming baby. I'll be there soon...

Phoenix: No, Spike you have to fight! You have to find me!

She disappeared and I again attempted to pull myself up and I fought HARD to do so. I made it. Blood pours down the console and I entered the code to blow the small charges on the silos firing mechanisms. It's a failsafe that was built into the mechanics. There was a small thud and the room shook a little bit as a light on the console displayed the words “ Silo Disabled” I fell to the ground again. Johnny Cash's version of Solitary Man started to play in my head. I'm having movies of my life play to it in my head. It's like a music video. I miss my life, the bad and the good. The entire song plays in my head and when the last notes chime my eyes closed. Now I am here. I have no idea what the * censored * I'm supposed to do now.

Dude this is good. I hope you keep writing this, because... dude, this is good. Also reflects the potential that MCN stories have now. We're entering into a golden age of television, and this story demonstrates the influence that great, unique television can have on writing.

To clarify though: I definitely shouldn't have won back in the day. The MC was the first Miniclip "show" but it wasn't the best. Yours was really good, the one we and a few others worked on together was really really good, and the one Eric did (Arcadia I think?) was probably the best of the bunch. If he still has backups of those episodes, I'd love to read them. I have a few backups of the one we worked on together, but not every episode unfortunately.

I guess we are gonna have to disagree on the best show thingy. You know what I completely forgot about that I loved? That vampire show you made where different forumers took turns writing epesiode and then you would tweak it and post them. That was bomb. Do you by any chance remember what that show was called? I have to say that I'm posting my stories on here because I obviously want people to read it. But I'm down to help anyone out with any project. It be nice to get back to a place where we can do a collaborated project. I do believe the forum still has potential. I've been sifting through the members lists and trying to find old timers and legends that have recently signed in. Maybe they will pop back in and see some cool stuff running around the forum. Obviously If I see March10nth 20014 its a good chance they bounced. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Hey do you still write or was that a faze? I'd love to hear your stuff dude.

I guess you are like me. I had the original "Doomsday Players" typed up and kept in a binder cuz it was special to me. I also "The Stoned Age". You know what I don't have...? The Shady Life... That was the very first story I wrote and posted. But I wasn't serious about all the writing thing back then. It was a lot of fun. I revisited the forum a few years ago and I got the inspiration to take out that binder. I revised "The Doomsday Players". Its on par with " A Stitch In Time". I've had a long time to work on my stuff and I have perfected it as much as I can. I know there are mistakes but I'm much more fluent with my language. I'm prob going to pay an editor to take a look at it.

Thats why I always felt like you had the best story. You had way better gramer and you were a better storyteler. I liked wining because I loved that people liked my stuff but man I didn't agree with it. And I felt really bad because I know at least on some level you were disappointed. You started it all. We didn't really know each other like that then so I didn't know if you were mad at me. You took that like a champ though.

I remember the vampire story now. It was called Bite Club to play on the movie Fight Club.

Nah dude, my stuff was based on forum drama and loosely a satire of shows that already existed. The stuff you and Eric did was original and inspired. I'm glad people responded to the stuff you did, and it was really damn good.

I was able to find episodes 4 and 5 on my hard drive. My girl and I are visiting my parents for dinner in about a week and a half, so I can look on my old computer for the rest of the episodes. I'm pretty sure they'd be there, provided that old POS hasn't crashed by now. I'd be annoyed if my old computer no longer works because of that, but also because my iPod Classic is backed up to it, and it'd suck to lose like 20,000 songs. I know you're a music lover, so I bet you feel the same way about your collection. Mine's mostly classic rock and old school rap, but I've got some of that metal that you dig.

im way into this band called Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. Amazing stufc but kinda takes you a minute to get into it. Check those dudes out. Listen to the song Deaths Door first. The band is like Black Sabbath but witb john Lennon on vocalz. Seriously dude just do me a solid and take 6 minutes to listen to the trsck I try to promote these guys as much as I can because I think they are best and most unique band in the world right now but they get little attention. If you like the song I can recommend some of my jams. I will admit some of their stuff is hit or miss. Don't judge off one song. And by the way I I dont hear from you before you head to see your girls parents I wanna say have a good time and be safe ( that means always put a "coat" on Jimmy. Peace and chicken grease my Nubian brother, Stay black thats the most Important thing.

Edit again... Sorry I meant to edit my first post

One more edit. Just to let everyone on the forum know i've been working on this series for over a year now I DID file a copyright before I started posting this one just to cover my butt. I don't think anyone here that knows and respects me would do that but not everyone out there is trust worth. I don't care if my story is and and reposted somewhere as long am credited clearly and you are not profiting off of wherever you post it. If I feel my creative property rights are being infringed upon I will not hesitate to have them brought on charges and I will take you for every dime you have and don't think for a second that I can't or wont. Ask the weekend manger at my work if I'm a man to be screwed with I still got that Spike 16 fire. Doomsday for life!

lol. No, writing was never my thing Spike. I was always into art, and when life took over, that faded away because i never had time for it. But when i tried to get back into it later in life, i got frustrated, because it was so long since i did anything that i lost a lot of my ability. I tried to get it back, but could only improve so much, and not back to the heights i was once at.

Im now into graphics, and i couldnt be more happier than where i am at with it at the mo. I aint no picasso when it comes to graphics, but considering i didnt even know what photoshop was up until about 3 tears ago, then i have to say i have done well. And i say that because i thought myself how to do it. But as i said before, Sci-Fi is my favourite genre, and your story is very much like it was written by somebody who has been doing it for a long time.

I'm honest though so anything I say positive or negative is just me trying to help. I would never "Attack" or "judge" anything f yours or anyone else...within reason

Haha I'm down for a write-off. I'm not quite sure what the premise would be at this point. I unfortunately lost all of the episodes of The MC when the old forums went down, so it'd be hard to do a true sequel to that show, but maybe a spiritual successor.

This is the kind of stuff that i have learnt to do, and all to try and help the gaming community. I like to run competitions, and sometimes give out sigs etc as little side prizes.
