Before you leave this thread just take a minute to give the story a try. I think it is my best work.
ATTENTION: The amazing program you are about to be present with was taped in front of a live crowed of Star Wars nerds. No wookies were harmed in the making of this film!

This is a remake but its head and shoulders better than the original. This story evolved from the Stargate one but the name is different. Yes I did rip off the name of the story from one of my old friends. Another lovely and sweet forumer named Emily. I seriously think she wouldn't mind as it fits the story perfectly and used to love my stories. I spent a long time revising the first chapter of Stargate/Stitch in time. I actually spent at least a year continuing the story and I have 70 something pages of materiel
One of my series was voted the best on the forum but I think Rigs should have won. His series called the the MC was amazing and it featured the fictional life of forum members. I love to write stuff and Stargate is my fave thing I've ever done. I'm addicted to writing it and its so much fun. Riggs inspired me to start writing stories and created the format of a cross between a novel and a movie script. I have to cut this into two posts.
:A Stitch in Time:
Chapter 1
Welcome to my Universe
My name is Spike St-Cloud. My story is a complicated one so you better pay attention. I've lived two lives in two different periods of time. I have experienced death twice as well. Each time I died I would blink into a new timeline. I was born in 1983 but a half an hour ago I was in the year 1962. I had a vision after I died for the first time in the year 2017. I'll touch on that later. After I had the vision I awoke inside of a U.S. army recruiting felicity. The year was now 1948. I never wanted to join the military. To many soldiers in history have died fighting someone elses wars. Even if they survive, the chances are they would never be the same again. However... I have my reasons for joining now. I spent the next seven years learning everything I could about whatever I could. Everything from weapons training to mechanics and engineering. As the saying goes, I know a lot about a little and a little about a lot. I saw and did a lot of things that still haunt me to this day but there was a path laid out for me and I needed to follow it.
The U.S. had just started to become involved with Vietnam in 1955. I was sent out there a year later. I spent three years in those jungles before I joined a special faction of the army in 1959. We were designated Unit-X. Each member of the unit had certain specialties. Mine was solo infiltration. I'm a master at sneaking into compounds and enemy strongholds without aid or support. That's what I was doing in Russia in 1962. I was infiltrating a Russian nuclear weapons felicity. Like my vision we will come back to that later.
Upon my second death I woke up trapped inside of a wooden crate. The only thing that I could think was that I had been buried underground. I try to push open the crate with my feet. Eventually the lid popped open. I climbed out of the crate and stumbled around. I was very disoriented and it was hard to focus my eyes. I heard shouts from behind me. It sounded like they were speaking another language that I've never heard and I can speak quite a few. I turn to see two men standing close to me. I see them pull strange guns from their belts and my instincts took over. I lunged toward the closest man just before his sights were set on me. I grabbed his gun before tossing him on his back using a Judo technique. The second man aimed at me and fired a shot. I ducked and rolled to my left before jumping up and kicking his gun out of his hand. I smashed my knee into his stomach before grabbing him by the shirt and backing him up against the wall. I punched him in the face before I clasped my hands together around the back of his neck. I then pulled down on his neck and lifted up my knee, smashing it into his face. The blow knocked him out cold. The first guy grabbed me from behind. I threw my head backwards into his nose and he let go. I turn around and hit him flush on his chin with a right cross and he fell down unconscious.
I looked around and the area is clear of any other people. Next to me is a door with two windows on each side. I peer through them and it appeared to be some kind of cafeteria or mess hall. I realize I am standing in a corridor that branches off in three different directions. I also notice that I'm not wearing the cloths I died in and my utility belt containing mission items and my side arm were missing. I check my black cargo pants for other items but they are empty. My next action was to find out where I am and how I can escape. When I died in 1962 I was wearing a Russian uniform but I am not now. I had on a skin tight black long sleeve shirt of which I'm pretty sure was mine from my second life and the black cargo pants with boots were definitely mine from my first life. I had no time to dwell on this. There were three directions that I can go. I rolled up my sleeves before I grabbed one of the men's guns, I glanced in every direction before taking the path to my right. I followed the long corridor before reaching a large dome shaped room. It had no walls, just clear windows. What I saw paralyzed me. I'm traveling through outer space. Next thing I knew, I could see a man's reflection on the glass. He is holding a weapon and fired what looked like a plasma beam.
I have just woken up inside of a pure white room. I have no wounds from the plasma beam. I look around and there is a table and two chairs mounted to the floor. I get the feeling I am in an interrogation room. The ship is shaking and I can hear loud thuds. It would appear like I am traveling on some kind of space ship. It also seems like the ship is under attack. After a few moments the thuds stop and the ship is no longer shaking. I can't believe I'm traveling on a space ship. About twenty minutes passes and three men enter the room. Two of the are dressed in light tactical gear and had weird looking riffles. The other man had a side arm that looked like the pistols the other crew members used. That man sits down in one of the chairs. He looks at me and motions for me to sit as well. I walk to the chair and sit across from him.
Marks: I am August Marks.
Spike: Who are you guys?
Marks: This is the part where you tell me who YOU are and why you are here.
Spike: My name is Spike St-Cloud.
Marks: How did you get inside that create? The only things that should have been in there were ration bars. That crate was inspected before it was brought on bored
Spike: Look, this is going to sound really, really weird...
Marks: I'm listening...
Spike: A half hour ago I was on Earth and now I'm here. I'm jumping through time and I don't know how...
Marks: That's the best story you can come up with? Earth is half way across the universe. How did you get here? Earth doesn't even posses the capability of star travel anymore. Their society collapsed three hundred years ago.
Spike: Three hundred years ago?!
Marks: Tell me what you are doing here!
Spike: Alright... look...
I now begin to tell him one of the craziest parts of my story. I tell him about an entity that came to me after I died for the first time. The last thing I remember of that life, I was trying to protect my wife and son from a horde of raiders. The world had collapsed as Marks mentioned earlier. I bore witness to it. My family and I lived in nothing but chaos. I refused to watch them die so I fought and clawed tooth and nail to keep them safe. I would fight until I died and that's exactly what I did. When I did eventually die I appeared inside of a red and black chamber before I was in the recruiting facility. I almost died again from the shock of it all. I've seen some crazy stuff before but this beats everything. There was a glowing entity that began to materialize. It appeared as a blue and gold serpent. It looked like a cross between a snake and a dragon. It slithered through the air until it was face to face with me.
Spike: Wh-- Am I dead?!
Serpent: Your life as you know it has ended but you are one of the Chosen.
Spike: Chosen?!
Serpent: You still have work to do in the multiverses.
Spike: What the * censored * does that even mean?!
Serpent: In time... All will become clear.
Spike: Tell me who you are!
Serpent: Follow your path and all wishful secrets will be revealed.
Just like that it was all gone. I was now standing in front of the desk at the recruiting facility. Behind the desk is a women signing paperwork. She called me by my name and handed me some information on where I should report. I assumed this was the path I was supposed to follow. I reported to a Major John Jenkins. That's when my normal, boring life changed forever. Marks now continues his interrogation.
Marks: You appear on this ship a half an hour before we are attacked. Your combat skills are very impressive. Are you a spy?
Spike: I told you I was in the army... I also was a Mixed Martial Artist in my first life.
Marks: What does that mean?
Spike: I trained in all forms of martial arts on Earth. I was a prize fighter and a coach to the youth.
Marks: What were you doing in that create?
Spike: I don't know, man... I just woke up there. I thought I was buried underground.
Marks: I'm about to lose my patience. You better tell me what the *censored * you are doing here in the next thirty seconds.
Spike: That's my story, man... I don't have anything else to say...
Marks instructs the two men to take me to the airlock. I assume he plans to toss me into the vacuum of space. I've seen enough sci-fi movies in my life to know how that works out... I'm not shackled so I stand up and ready myself for a fight as another man storms into the room. I notice he is the man that shot me. He looks at Marks with disapproval.
Captain Koro: What do you think you are doing?
Marks: It's too dangerous having him on this ship. Have you forgotten how important our cargo is?
Captain Koro: Have you forgotten who is in charge? I understand you are a rebel loyalist but you and your men are sworn to obey my commands. You don't get to make decisions like this.
Marks:Yes sir...
The man looks at me and introduces himself.
Captain Koro: I am William Koro, the captain of this ship. You are going to answer my questions and you will be truthful or I assure you I will know.
I go through my whole story all over again. When I'm finished the captain still has questions for me.
Captain Koro: I have one last question for you... Are you a threat to my ship?
Spike: No, sir... I'm just lost...
The captain looks at Marks.
Captain Koro: He appears to be telling the truth.
I find out later that the captain has an uncanny ability to read faces. There are countless races of beings in the universe. The one thing that seems to be the same with all humanoid races are the expressions and emotions on their faces. He can almost always tell when people are lying or telling the truth.
Marks: You have been wrong in the past.
Captain Koro: Yes, I have.
Stargate: He did appear to be telling the truth but time travel is universally considered to be impossible.
Spike: Where is that voice coming from?
Captain Koro: He could be mentally ill. He might believe he is a time traveler so there would be no signs of deception. We'll have Dr. Hammund evaluate him.
Spike: Dude I'm sitting right here! I'm not mentally ill and where is that voice coming from?
Captain Koro: That's Stargate. She is the ships A.I.
Spike: Your ship talks?!
Captain Koro: Stargate is a very advanced Artificial Intelligence lifeform. She thinks and feels like any sentient being and has complete control over all of her systems.
Spike: That is so cool...
The captain pauses for a moment.
Captain Koro: Stargate, scan the subjects physiology
Stargate: Scan complete. All indications say he is a human male. I must admit this is strange... My scans tell me his cloths and shoes are over three hundred years old but they are in pristine condition.
The Captain looks at Marks again.
Captain Koro: Explain that.
Marks: He could be a Velear.
Captain Koro: Velear's can't fake a subatomic scan. I assume you did one of those, Stargate?
Stargate: Yes, captain.
Spike: Whats a Velear?
Marks: You think he is a time traveler, William?! We found him busting out of a crate. By his own admission he is a highly skilled soldier and an expert at sneaking into places. This is highly coincidental.
Captain Koro: We found nothing on him. Not a single weapon or item. That's not very smart if you think you are going to encounter resistance. Don't you think he would at least have a knife? I don't know what he is but I'm not convinced he is a threat so we're not chucking him out of the airlock! Don't ever presume you can make a decision like that again.
Marks: Yes sir...
Spike: Please... Take me back to Earth. That's all I want. Then you don't have to worry about me anymore.
Captain Koro: Earth isn't exactly a great planet to visit... It's a planet rich with the worst kind of people.
Spike: I need to find out if Utopia survived, if it ever existed at all, I need to find out if my family made it there.
Captain Koro: I'm sorry... but we cannot do that. Earth is on the other side of the universe. It would take us a decade to get there.
Spike: So... what happens to me?
Captain Koro: I believe that you believe your story but I haven't decided yet if you are a threat or not. We are taking you to the brig.
