  • [BEWARE] Cheaters! New Reporting Tool!

    Just passing this on...

The Miniclip Bosses have finally setup a direct link to report any exploits or cheats you see in and around 8 Ball Pool. Use this Google Form to fill in the ID and a description. It is their hope that the method of reporting will be more organized and allow their teams investigate quicker.

Use the links in the 1st post above and report them. Hopefully it will get them banned.

How difficult can it be to write a little programme to detect such blatant cheaters ?
I could write such code on my HP calculator decades ago.

It looks as if Moneyclip is finally, maybe, going to do something about the cheaters but instead of hiring coders, they let the users do the work. Tsk, tsk...

Agree. I could go to a few clubs and find at least 10 cheaters in just a few minitues time just by looking at there numbers.

There is a known bug in the system whereby members with VERY low member ids' have had their stats screwed up leading to examples just like the one you saw.
As far as I know it only affects certain accounts with id numbers of 3 or 4 digits or less, so it would be useful to see a screenshot of their profile if you ever come across another one like that so we can see if they are cheats or just glitched.

                          Hendo1803

I'm just wondering how many losses and how many coins you're prepared to lose before you decide enough is enough and start boycotting Berlin ?

I played there on and off for just long enough to get a ring but I won't be going back until and unless I hear that Moneyclip has finally done something about the cheats..... and I won't be holding my breath for that LOL

I started playing this game back in 2011 and didn't discover the forums until 2015. Up until that point I was a small player with no confidence who was happy to potter about in London and Sydney.

I received lots of advice from experienced players in the forum and that bolstered my confidence and I started playing in higher tiers, however at the time just about everyone said to never venture into the high tiers because they were absolutely chock full of cheats and longline hackers. So I stayed low ( no higher than Jakarta ) up until the new pc version was released in beta, and found that it was a cheat free zone, which is when I got brave, went high and got rich.

Obviously it was only a matter of time before the despicable deplorables found a way to cheat in the new version ( and on mobile ) so now I'm back playing in lower tiers ( Rome mostly ) and lower wagers in no guideline games.

If people would just stop playing in the tiers where the cheats live then eventually Moneyclip might actually make an effort, and if not then at least the dirty cheats will only be cheating each other LOL

I don't blame you for feeling that way, the most I've ever lost in the course of one day was almost 120 million and even though I have billions it still makes me angry ( and that's regardless of whether I feel cheated or not, no-one likes to lose LOL ).

However I always set myself a limit to my losses ( which is around 100m ) and once I get there I stop playing ( and sulk for the rest of the day LOL ).

The best advice I was ever given, and I pass it on at every opportunity, is to learn when to stop.

What you lose can always be made back with a little patience, even if it takes a week, but if anyone chases their losses through anger and frustration they will invariably find themselves broke and bereft, and it will take a damn sight longer than a week to get it all back when you're a multi million coins player who has lost everything LOL

Just drop down to lower tiers when things aren't going your way if you don't want to stop playing, forget the coins for a while and just enjoy the game for the sake of the sport rather than for how much you can make.

                              Good luck

Great advice my limit is around 40 mil. if I loose that much in a day I simply drop down and play smaller tables and build back up.

As usual, great advice Nanny Ogg . I would only add that you don't "double up" and chase your losses (what Nan said). My loss limit is about 5 losses in a row. I firmly believe that the game algorithm starts to let you get "luckier" and win more the more games (and the longer) you play. That is, if you just log in and play 10 games, then you may have lost 6 games and won 4 of them. But if you play 30 games, you will probably win 17 and lose 13? I also play with legendary cues so I get some coins back so my advice may not be as applicable if you don't have any legendary cues.

Hendo1803 Have you filled out that form in the original post above to report the cheaters you've encountered???

All right, I have two video captures of cheaters in Berlin, showing their cheating real-time as well as a profile view with their ID #. The files are about 20MB, which isn't large by any means but too big to attach to the google form. Now what?

The reason for cheating the video or image must be clarified
sanctions must be applied to prevent fraud
but if one of them encountered a defect or one of the problems in his account
is that a reason for cheating?
