Cheaters have ruined a great game. I’m done.

I went 2 or 3 games without a break, so chanced my arm in Mumbai thinking I was bound to get the break, well I did, cleared all my balls but got stuck on the black, so waited for the opponent to start, expecting a Cheto - no ! - they played normally ! I was expecting to lose but they ended up on the black but kissing it with the white so they couldn't get a pocket shot . . . I ended up winning but just so nice to meet a player in Mumbai who wasn't cheating. I will try that again when I'm pretty sure I'm due the break off shot !
I've been playing quite a few in Dubai and Shanghai and so far not seen a Cheto, but I guess they will be there soon ! This is all on mobile.

That's great. I played a few Mumbai cause I was 3rd in red league and thought i could steal it. but see I'm now 5th. Billions overtook so im not bothered. Also when I played this am it was all from India. You see they don't aim just pocket called and shoot. I posted a q on fb and apparently others are also losing to lot of chetos. Guess I'm in the crap server.

I have decided to take a proper break from the game for various reasons. Summer is approaching, and gaming is more a winter activity for me anyway
It isn't the cheaters per se that got to me, but more the big problem of this game being managed by a company like that. There is no safety in where they will take the game, so feels risky to invest much time (or money) in it.
Now, I understand people relate to the game in different ways. Personally I need the challenge, competition and persuable goals to build and improve your character/stats/whatever. To just play for fun with a guest user with no intention of "leveling" the character is not enough for me.
I'm sure I will come back on later, but it also depends on whether moneyshit will show any sign of improvement or not..

Hope you keep being active here Wildhaven, I really enjoy reading your posts, still plenty to talk about other than 8 ball pool. This site really needs all the members it can get and your presents has been magnificent!!!

You probably won't ever read it since you're quitting, but if so, I'd like to give an advice, either to you or anyone else who's in same situation:
Play this game for fun, don't mind too much about one digit IQ cheaters, they have almost always been there, I'm playing this game since 2012, from 2013 to 2014, when Jakarta, Toronto and Cairo were the highest tiers, you'd meet a lot of cheaters, and even worse than this cheto.io trash, because it was like an autowin cheat, once you got matched with them, if you didn't refresh (on the old PC version you could refresh the page to avoid an opponent), you'd lose.
Then between 2014 and 2016 there were cheaters here and there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9yyDQFmiE4 This video is from 2015 and shows how there was a kind of cheat that you'd get disconnected when you were about to win, and there was no way to recognize who was using it and who wasn't.
From 2016 to 2019 was probably the "paradise era" in 8 ball pool since you couldn't meet a lot of cheaters either on PC or cellphone, you'd meet some aimline cheaters may be but it's nothing compared to Cheto.io and these autowin craps.
From 2019 (with Venice table addition) to 2021, highest tiers got taken over with a cheat called "miniruler" that helped players to aim cushion shots from tough positions, so they'd not miss anything, it was really annoying because they could have mediocre positioning skills and still have a huge chance to play a denial because as long as they had a visible 1, 2 or 3 rails shot with full power, they'd be able to pot it.
And well, from Jan 2021 till now and going on, we have to deal with this cheto.io hack.
So it's not really that cheaters have taken over the game, they have always been there in the highest tiers excepting for 2016-2019, just play for fun, try to improve, take your chance to beat cheaters (if you got the break) and don't mind some losers who need an AI to play for them because they have no skill!

Its happening at least every other game now ive lost a billion coins last in about 4 weeks, i do hit the (...) tab and report guess is all we can do, not sure if these cheats invade lower value tables or not but been grafting for almost 9 yrs built a decent coin balance now just getting robbed and a 1% drop in rating. So do we risk further losses to merely seek out and report cheats in the hope of booting them all out or head down to the lower value tables and just weather the storm until miniclip figure this sh✨t show out

Welcome to the forums -X- HarryOConner will probably see your comment, I noticed them on the forums yesterday at some point, I'm not certain they've quit 8 ball pool or not but it's good to know they are still a visiting member here. Yeah cheating is gone crazy these days on 8 ball pool. Coins is only a small part of the game for me, I like to set a goal and try and reach that goal. 8 ball pool used to be a social game to me but the cheating has left most those I meet jaded and toxic these days. But yeah, the game has always been more of a battle with myself than the opponent I'm against, little improvements here and there and learning new skills is what helps. Yes cheating is always been apart of the game, true they have always been there but never this bad. I hold no grudges against them, while getting cheated I sure don't like it but in all it is just a game, how I look at it is if I die tomorrow what good would have all the coins I've made on a silly game have done, absolutely not one thing.

fly636, I feel your pain!!! It truly has gotten so bad ATM. Sadly if mini-clip doesn't take action ASAP the game will keep losing players, I myself am at a crossroads with 8 ball pool, been thinking heavily about quitting for some time now, if I do quit I'll still be a very active member on the forums though, lots of really interesting down to earth good people here and this site is really fun!!!

As it stands at the minute, on mobile, I've gone down to Shanghai to avoid all the Cheto twunts. If I have to go much lower I'll probably pack it in.

Makes you wonder what will ultimately happen in the game, as all the higher levels become infested with Chetos, they will end up playing one another, Miniclip seem helpless (or unwilling ?) to sort this mess out, but what do the Chetos do with all these accounts ? Assuming they attempt to sell them, who would want to pay good money for them ? What would be the point ? Anyone stupid enough to buy one would soon be getting robbed by the same Cheto twunts who created the account in the first place ! It's a downward spiral. Ultimately less and less people will want to spend money on the game as it's a waste of time and MC's cashcow will soon dwindle and die off. But they've probably all made their millions already so don't give a shit, they'll all be moving on to the next 'get rich quick scam'.

Yep, the game for any fair players does seem doomed at the minute (unless MC wake up) . . . . . probably meet you on a table in London soon ! (until the Chetos appear)

cidercoder , that sure is spot on, gives me a lot to think about as well. The game is slowly imploding, I was always the one who used to tell people about 8 ball pool, would tell them how fun it was and encourage them to give it a try but sadly not anymore. I am still hoping it'll be fixed one day, maybe, I don't know.

Sticking with Infinity 8 ball, though all the side games and coins vs gems and etc is a mystery to me.
Pretty good pool games though. If they have bots, they seems to be friendly... lol

I miss mini clip though, as aggravating as it is.

Infinity 8 ball is fun though, not what I am used to but still really fun. There is lots of other games I'm going to try really soon. I used to have a bad addition to a game called Jewel Quest, god I love that game but I know if I start it up again I'll never stop.

I sometimes play as a guest on PC bogus6948, lots of times I try and get others to play indirect with me, lot of players are afraid they'll be betrayed and don't but some do, lots of regular players play as a guest there, I have a certain patent swirl I do there so as to kinda be recognized and some of the regulars do too. Sometimes I bring up another tab and play as a guest on two account and spin for a opponent at the same time and get myself, oddly it works if timed right. Also it's a good way to test how the game plays on different browsers too. I didn't see your comment until reading some of this over again. But anyways, play as a guest is the true practice table IMO. But yeah, very true, free, fair, chat and cheat free!!!

There was another app I tried last night, can't remember the name exactly, think it was kings of 8 ball, it was fun too. I can't find that one I seen on YouTube awhile back but I want to play that one. Does anyone know if Mini-clips carrom pool is supported on emulators? I guess I could give it a try tonight and see.
