    Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of ages 13 and over, welcome to the 8th annual Miniclip Community Awards!

    And so, with another year almost at a close, we assemble once again to honor those within our community whose actions, contributions and presence have brought us joy, improved life on our forum and been invaluable to us in so many ways over the past 12 months.

    2012 was an eventful year that saw both highs and lows. Meet-ups between staff and members, developing real and hopefully long-lasting friendships, being an example. However, 2012 also saw our community nearly brought to its knees with the loss of our home and the memories it contained. Yet, despite this tragedy, we stuck together and committed ourselves to start anew - bigger and better than before! As we enjoy the Christmas season, we look forward to the arrival of our new home in 2013, built within the Miniclip site itself, and a bright future for our community!

    As always, The Mini's will consist of a nominations round, a voting round, and the awards ceremony on the final day. Nominations will last from the 10th - 12th of December, voting from the 13th - 16th of December, and awards on the 17th of December.

    Competition Rules:

    1. Only those who registered on the temp forum before the 8th of December may nominate and vote.
    2. Only those who had submitted 5 or more posts prior to the 8th of December may nominate or vote.
    3. Users present on the temp forum who were perma-banned on the Miniclip Forums at the time of its closure may not nominate or vote.
    4. Your votes must be PM'ed to the account "TheMinis2012" in order to count.
    5. Please pay close attention to individual threads for voting/nominating requirements concerning specific awards (e.g. Rookie of the Year).
    6. Alt accounts, should you have any, may not be used to give extra votes to your choices. If you are found to be doing this your nominations/votes from both accounts will be discarded.

    Remember: Your votes must be PM'ed to the account "TheMinis2012" in order to count. Please see the voting sticky for more information!


    Please use this thread for questions, comments regarding the competition rather than creating your own; so as to keep the forum free of clutter.

    Once again, good luck to everyone, and a big thank you for sticking with our community despite all that's happened lately!

    Pardon my ignorance in the matter and maybe I am missing it, but is there a list of categories I can see?

        Just-For-Fun Awards (containing 40 or so minor or funny awards).

        I am writing and posting these threads as we speak.

        Ordinarily there would also be:
        Sketch Star Artist of the Year
        Best YoMe
        Best Traditional Artwork
        Best CGI Artwork
        Best Photograph
        Best Literature
        Beat Forum Shop

        However myself and staff all agreed that there wouldn't be enough entries this year. Plus, fewer entries and less voters would also diminish the element of competition.

            OK...thanks, sorry I jumped the gun and asked before providing you the time to get them posted....lol.....

            Now these are based on the old forum and here combined if I am not mistaken?......sure would be nice if MC could give us a view-only option for the old forum.....lots of stuff there I would like to refresh my memory on.....oh well, life goes on...

                In the first post it states that awards will be handed out on the 17th of December.

                          I must apologize to many of my fellow forum members.....the pool update occurred right in the middle of the nomination period...and for those who may not know, it caused some rather grievous new problems that somehow took up all my time....

                          There were quite a few people I wanted to nominate in different categories but failed to do so with the distractions........in retrospect, it seems a bit selfish on my part to have been so distracted for personal reasons regarding a short-term problem when I should have prioritized the nominations.....for that I am truly sorry....
